Description
CA 15-3
Cancer Antigen 15-3 (CA 15-3) is a tumor marker for breast cancer. It is derived from MUC1 and considered to be one of the first circulating prognostic factors for breast cancer. It is often used to monitor the response of breast cancer treatment and to watch for breast cancer recurrence. It may also give a sense of how much cancer is present (tumor burden).
