Feiyue's E2(Estradiol) ELISA Kit is an ELISA reagent for detection of E2 (Estradiol), plasma or cell with sensitivity, specificity and consistency.
E2(Estradiol) Introduction
E2 is the predominant female reproductive hormone secreted by the ovaries. Smaller amounts of estradiol are also produced by the adrenal cortex and by the testes. Mouse Estradiol E2 ELISA Kit is based on the standard principle of a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Mouse Estradiol E2 antibody is coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and Estradiol E2 present in a sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. An HRP-conjugate reagent is added subsequently. After washing away the unbound antibody/HRP conjugates, HRP substrate TMB is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the mouse Estradiol E2 captured onto the plate. E2is also found in most vertebrates and crustaceans, insects, fish, and other animal species.
E2(Estradiol) ELISA Kit Test Method
This kit uses Competitive ELISA to detect the concentration of E2 .
The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with target. During the reaction, target in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of target on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Antibody specific to target. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm. The concentration of target in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
