NEFL(Neurofilament light polypeptide) Basic information

Neurofilament light polypeptide is a neurofilament protein that in humans is encoded by the NEFL gene. Neurofilament light chain is a biomarker that can be measured with immunoassays in cerebrospinal fluid and plasma and reflects axonal damage in a wide variety of neurological disorders. It is a useful marker for disease monitoring in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and more recently Huntington's disease. Higher numbers have been associated with increased mortality.

Human NEFL(Neurofilament light polypeptide) ELISA Kit test method

Feiyue’s Human NEFL(Neurofilament light polypeptide) is an ELISA reagent for detection of NEFL(Neurofilament light polypeptide) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.

This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of Human NEFL(Neurofilament light polypeptide). Human NEFL(Neurofilament light polypeptide)-specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional anti-Human NEFL(Neurofilament light polypeptide) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin. TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich for ming optical signal measured by microplate reader. The concentration of Human NEFL(Neurofilament light polypeptide) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
