PKM2(Pyruvate kinase isozymes M1/M2) Basic information
Pyruvate kinase isozymes M1/M2 (PKM1/M2), also known as pyruvate kinase muscle isozyme (PKM), pyruvate kinase type K, cytosolic thyroid hormone-binding protein (CTHBP), thyroid hormone-binding protein 1 (THBP1), or opa-interacting protein 3 (OIP3), is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PKM2 gene.
PKM2 is an isoenzyme of the glycolytic enzyme pyruvate kinase. Depending upon the different metabolic functions of the tissues, different isoenzymes of pyruvate kinase are expressed. PKM2 is expressed in some differentiated tissues, such as lung, fat tissue, retina, and pancreatic islets, as well as in all cells with a high rate of nucleic acid synthesis, such as normal proliferating cells, embryonic cells, and especially tumor cells.

Feiyue’s Human PKM2(Pyruvate kinase isozymes M1/M2) Elisa kit is an ELISA reagent for detection of PKM2(Pyruvate kinase isozymes M1/M2) in Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of Rat PKM2(Pyruvate kinase isozymes M1/M2) . Rat PKM2(Pyruvate kinase isozymes M1/M2) -specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional anti-Rat PKM2(Pyruvate kinase isozymes M1/M2) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin. TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich for ming optical signal measured by microplate reader. The concentration of Rat PKM2(Pyruvate kinase isozymes M1/M2) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
