C3(Complement Component 3) Basic information

C3 plays a central role in the activation of the complement system. Its activation is required for both classical and alternative complement activation pathways. People with C3 deficiency are susceptible to bacterial infection. It plays a central role in the complement system and contributes to innate immunity. In humans it is encoded on chromosome 19 by a gene called C3. In humans, C3 is predominantly synthesised by liver hepatocytes and to some degree by epidermis keratinocytes.

Feiyue’s Rat C3(Complement Component 3) is an ELISA reagent for detection of C3(Complement Component 3) in Serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of Rat C3(Complement Component 3). Rat C3(Complement Component 3)-specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional anti-Rat C3(Complement Component 3) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin. TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich for ming optical signal measured by microplate reader. The concentration of Rat C3(Complement Component 3) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
