Human NOS2/iNOS(Nitric oxide synthase, inducible) Introduciton

Nitric oxide synthase, inducible is an enzyme which is encoded by the NOS2 gene in humans and mice. Nitric oxide is a reactive free radical mediating in neurotransmission, antimicrobial and antitumoral activities. In mice, the function of Nos2 in immunity against a number of viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites has been well characterized, whereas in humans the role of NOS2 has remained elusive and controversial. Nos2 is important for protective immunity against CMV. Caveolin 1 has been shown to interact with Nitric oxide synthase 2A.and Rac2.

Human NOS2/iNOS(Nitric oxide synthase, inducible) ELISA Kit Test method

This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of Human NOS2/iNOS.

Human NOS2/iNOS-specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional anti-Human NOS2/iNOS antibody with HRP-Streptavidin. TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich for ming optical signal measured by microplate reader. The concentration of Human NOS2/iNOS in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
