COL1(Collagen Type I) Introduction

Type I collagen is the most abundant collagen of the human body. It forms large, eosinophilic fibers known as collagen fibers. It is present in scar tissue, the end product when tissue heals by repair, as well as tendons, ligaments, the endomysium of myofibrils, the organic part of bone, the dermis, the dentin, and organ capsules.

This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of  COL1(Collagen Type I). COL1(Collagen Type I)-specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate.Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional  COL1(Collagen Type I) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin.TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich forming optical signal measured by microplate reader.The concentration of  COL1(Collagen Type I) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
