Description

CPP(Copeptin) Basic information

Copeptin (also known as CT-proAVP) is a 39-amino acid-long peptide derived from the C-terminus of pre-pro-hormone of arginine vasopressin, neurophysin II and copeptin. Arginine vasopressin (AVP), also known as the antidiuretic hormone (ADH), is encoded by the AVP gene and is involved in multiple cardiovascular and renal pathways and abnormal level of AVP are associated with various diseases. Hence measurement of AVP would be useful, but is not commonly carried out in clinical practice because of its very short half-life making it difficult to quantify. In contrast, copeptin can be immunologically tested with ease and therefore can be used as a vasopressin surrogate marker.

Human CPP(Copeptin) ELISA Kit test method

Feiyue’s Human CPP(Copeptin)  is an ELISA reagent for detection of CPP(Copeptin) in Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of Human CPP(Copeptin)Human CPP(Copeptin)-specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional anti-Human CPP(Copeptin) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin. TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich for ming optical signal measured by microplate reader. The concentration of Human CPP(Copeptin) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
