Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), or abrineurin,is a protein that, in humans, is encoded by the BDNF gene.BDNF is a member of the neurotrophin family of growth factors, which are related to the canonical nerve growth factor. Neurotrophic factors are found in the brain and the periphery. 

Mouse BDNF(Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor) ELISA Kit Test method

This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of BDNF(Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor).BDNF(Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor)-specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate.Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional BDNF(Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin.TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich forming optical signal measured by microplate reader.The concentration of BDNF(Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
