Gibberellic Acid (GA3) Solution is a plant growth regulator that supports plant growth and development in tissue culture applications. Gibberellic acid is a plant hormone involved in physiological processes such as stem elongation, seed germination, and plant development.

Assay Protocol

Follow the general steps below to prepare plant tissue culture medium using GA3 solution:

1. Prepare liquid tissue culture medium using MS, DKW, or another suitable basal medium.
2. Add sugar according to the selected medium formulation. A commonly used starting concentration is 30 g/L.
3. If required, add the appropriate amount of PPM and a gelling agent, such as 3–4 g/L gellan gum or 6–8 g/L agar, according to your validated protocol.
4. Add the required amount of GA3 solution to obtain the target final concentration.
5. Sterilize the medium using a validated method suitable for the formulation. If GA3 is sensitive to the selected heat treatment, consider sterile filtration and aseptic addition after cooling.
